The Mango Tango Margarita
I'm excited to share an adventure I had with my co-founder, Reed, as we went in search of the best and most popular Margarita in the world for Cinco de Mayo.
Our journey took us to Mexico, where we explored the vibrant and colorful streets of Mexico City, tasting and trying every Margarita recipe we came across. After several days of research, we finally discovered the perfect Margarita recipe that captured the true essence of Mexico.
We wanted to create a drink that was unique and would stand out from the classic Margarita. We call it the "Mango Tango Margarita," and it has a sweet and tangy flavor that's perfect for any Cinco de Mayo celebration.
Here's how to make it:
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. tequila
- 1 oz. fresh lime juice
- 1 oz. mango puree
- 1 oz. orange liqueur
- 1 tsp. agave nectar
- Salt (for rimming the glass)
- Lime wedge (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Rim a glass with salt by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it into a small plate of salt.
- Fill a shaker with ice and add the tequila, lime juice, mango puree, orange liqueur, and agave nectar.
- Shake well and strain into the salt-rimmed glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with a lime wedge and serve immediately.
The Mango Tango Margarita is the perfect combination of sweet and sour, with a refreshing twist of mango. It's the perfect drink to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and bring a taste of Mexico to your home
