Drink of the Week:: Purple Gin & Tonic Aka Purple Drink
It was a bright and sunny day in Los Angeles when the founders of Drink with Greg, Greg and Reed, set out on their latest adventure - finding the best Purple Gin & Tonic in the world. They had heard rumors of a hidden gem in the city, where mixologists were using a unique ingredient to create the most mesmerizing cocktail.
After searching high and low, they finally stumbled upon a small bar in the heart of downtown LA. The bartender welcomed them warmly and explained that the secret ingredient was butterfly pea flower, a natural plant that turns gin from blue to purple with the addition of tonic water. Greg and Reed were intrigued and immediately ordered the signature cocktail.
The drink arrived in a tall glass, with a deep purple hue that was almost hypnotic. They took a sip and were blown away by the smooth and floral flavor, perfectly balanced with the bitterness of the tonic water. They knew they had found their next Drink with Greg's creation - the Purple Gin & Tonic.
Before jumping into the drink, we wanted to highlight @styledbydaisies, who is doing one heck of a job of making and sharing Purple Drink across the web!!

Pairs Well With
A Purple Gin & Tonic pairs well with a variety of light and refreshing foods, such as salads, seafood, and grilled vegetables. The floral and citrus notes of the cocktail make it a great match for dishes that feature similar flavors, such as a citrus and herb salad or grilled shrimp with lemon and herbs.
For a more substantial pairing, the cocktail can also complement dishes that have a bit of spice or heat, such as spicy grilled chicken or a Thai-style curry. The bitterness of the tonic water can help cut through the heat and balance out the flavors.
Overall, the Purple Gin & Tonic is a versatile cocktail that can be enjoyed with a wide range of foods. It's a perfect drink for a light lunch or dinner, a summer barbecue, or even a picnic in the park.
